About the role:

This role will be the main point of contact for Business Affairs related to creator agreements for Brand Partnership clients globally (e.g., USA, EMEA, DACH), working in collaboration with the Sr. Manager, Business Affairs, and key stakeholders within the Business Affairs team and beyond.  You will have a background in social media marketing, advertising, influencer management, or entertainment, and considerable exposure to contracts, contract principles, and negotiation experience in one or more of the areas listed above. Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day: 

  • Provide daily BA oversight on global creator agreements, releases, and amendments.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate creator agreements with creators, agents, creator’s counsel and managers on behalf of Whalar global Brand Partnership teams
  • Manage and mitigate risk; consult and provide training on compliance and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the global BA team and internal and external clients [incl. senior leadership] from different parts of the world, across various timezones.
  • Work with internal clients during all phases of the project from pre- to post-execution.
  • Manage and ability to learn all aspects of production-related paperwork (e.g., insurance, background checks, etc.) as needed to complete a project.

  • Remain up to date on all FTC, ASA, or other regulatory body guidelines.
  • Maintain and improve contract workflow/automation processes and guidelines.
  • Work flexible hours (approx. 10am-6pm GMT)

Responsibilities:

Direct Report Management:

  • Oversee the daily activities and development of 1-2 direct reports, including performance management, goal setting, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and provide constructive feedback to direct reports to foster a productive and supportive team environment.

Talent Selection and Management:

  • Receive and fulfill talent requests and priorities with minimal guidance from the Manager of Casting by the assigned deadline.
  • Ensure talent are accepted by the creative team 80%-90% of the time.
  • Select talent aligned with request and account strategy goals by utilizing Talent Survival Guides. Present selected talent to the Creative Team within a 2-3 business day window unless otherwise noted.

Talent Sourcing and Booking:

  • Spend 80% of time executing assigned footage needs and talent requests; allocate 20% of time to sourcing prospective talent for the Casting Team Database through casting sites, social media outreach, or other methods.

  • Review footage before delivery to ensure adherence to the Talent Brief and quality standards.

In-Person Casting Calls:

  • Organize and host in-person casting calls at the studio to scout and select talent for various projects.

  • Evaluate and select talent during casting calls in alignment with project requirements and creative direction.

Collaboration and Improvement:

  • Seek feedback from the Creative Team on delivered footage to improve the success rate and reduce review rounds.
  • Stay up-to-date with department-wide best practices, including performance learnings, shooting techniques, workflow tactics, etc.

Administrative and Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Track all client-related production expenses in accordance with company best practices and mandates in a timely manner.

Compensation:

TubeScience provides the wage ranges it reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for all remote roles and as otherwise required by applicable law. The expected range of starting pay for this role is $75,000 – $85,000 annually.  Actual compensation may vary within the listed range based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, and specific geographic location.

Job Description: Assistant Talent Manager

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the success of talent partnerships and the growth of talent’s careers and relationships
  • Provide administrative support to the talent managers and the talent roster
  • Act as the liaison between the talent and brands once agreements are signed to ensure talent campaigns are seamlessly executed
  • Send call sheets for photo shoots and events
  • Manage a high volume of heavy email activity, calls and responsibilities
  • Meetings / Calls: Take notes, share organized recaps and consolidate / manage next steps
  • Calendar management
  • Provide weekly updates to Talent
  • Talent and Pitch Decks: update talent decks to reflect new highlights and analytics.
  • Craft presentations, and case studies as required
  • File documents in company database

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an assistant talent management or agency role
  • General knowledge of campaign management for talent a must and ability to reference partnership contracts a plus!
